Quarantine can be a very depressing time. Not being allowed to see friends or comfort family in their time of need is very difficult and saddening. What gives me hope and keeps me going through the day are very few things.
Number 1: My precious bunny Baylee. She hops around my room or outside or in the front room. She keeps me company, she keeps me awake, and she keeps me happy. I can watch her for hours and not get tired of her, she's that great. Everything she does fascinates me, from her sassy attitude when she doesn't get her way, to the way she'll hop onto my bed or couch just to make me pet her. (she pushes her head underneath my hand, and when I get tired and stop she tries to nibble at me)
Number 2: Hot showers. Standing under scolding hot water always cheers me up. I feel better and get a new found motivation for the day. Many times I'll take a shower just for the hot water, or to ignore my family. If only hot water was unlimited and free, you would probably never see me.
Number 3: Doing my hair. I have been trying to get my hair to look a specific way. I'll watch hair videos and styling tips, I moisturize my hair and style it just to get back in the bed or fall asleep most days. However doing my hair lightens my mood and makes me feel good. I often think I look ugly if my hair isn't done, this is weird because during school I rarely did my hair due to depression. Now that I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go I feel confident just because my hair looks good.
There are other things like ice cream and sweets that get me through the day as well but I ate them all. Opps
